Individuals, businesses and groups are getting creative. They're organizing events and raising money to help bring relief to refugees and survivors of disasters like the earthquake in Haiti. They are making a difference in a way that's meaningful for them!
Summer 2010
June through September - Sleep Out for Shelter Events At homes across the Twin Cities and Chicago
Families are taking action and seizing the opportunity to build awareness with their kids, friends and neighbors.
Having a sleepover in the next couple of weeks? Make it a sleep out! Grab a couple sleeping bags, start a bonfire and have a meaningful fireside chat. Talk about what it means to give up our roofs & think of the countless Haitian families who have lost their homes and sleep without a roof night after night.
This is an incredible learning opportunity for kids and a chance to make a meaningfully connection to an issue millions of people confront on a daily basis! Interested in learning more? Contact Jenna Moeger at 612 607 6495 or JennaM@ARChq.org and she’ll share what others are already doing!
