Community Advocates - Haiti Relief

Become a Community Advocate and use your talents and energy to make a real impact in Haiti!

Advocates are organized into four groups, each working with a different focus in the Twin Cities area: Education, Arts, Local Business and Grassroots.

Group members will work with local artists, businesses, schools and more to launch events that will help change the lives of earthquake survivors in Haiti. Hold an art exhibit at a local gallery; host a speaker's series at your university; or coordinate a film festival; or do something completely original!

If you have been wanting to get involved but weren’t sure how, the Community Advocates program gives you the opportunity to change the world from your own backyard!

Imagine… Heavy rains. Beating winds. Mudslides and floods. This is the rainy season in Haiti. Imagine trying to get through it in a shelter made of a few sticks, sheets, and a tarp. Your clothes are constantly wet. Mosquitoes and parasites everywhere. Malaria, cholera, and typhoid are spreading… How will you survive and build hope for tomorrow?

You can do something to help the people of Haiti right now. When we join together, the opportunity for good is limitless.

Not located in the Twin Cities? Start your own group of Community Advocates in your city. Contact Jenna Moeger at JennaM@ARChq.org or call (612) 607-6495 for ideas and more information.
