Field Visit: Liberia Featuring Eve Lotter, ARC volunteer
The American Refugee Committee (ARC) works with more than 300,000 people in Liberia. Join us to hear from ARC volunteer Eve Lotter, who supported ARC’s gender-based violence prevention programs in Liberia for the past 7 months. Eve will share stories of people who are taking back control of their lives in Liberia as the country rebuilds. She will also discuss ARC’s programs in the region and share footage from ARC's participatory video project “Through our Eyes.”

ARC's office is located in the Loring Park Office Building--see map here: PARKING IS LIMITED: Please plan to arrive early, as parking is limited. Additional parking is east and across the street from the Loring Park Office Building. The lot is accessible from Oak Grove Street -- look for the balloons marking the parking lot entrance.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Eve Alexandra Lotter holds a MSc in Human Rights from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley. Her work with the American Refugee Committee (ARC) in Liberia was generously supported by the Upper Midwest Human Rights Fellowship Program. Eve has been a research fellow with the Human Rights Center at the University of Minnesota and has volunteered with the Liberian Truth and Reconciliation Commission Diaspora Project spearheaded by Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights. |
